In May, a new outdoor dining area will open at Scandic Grand Central in downtown Stockholm. The previously unused courtyard will open to the public as "Little Italy", and will be decorated like an Italian piazza while serving Italian food and drink. It gets very Italian - clotheslines, flag streamers, lamps, umbrellas and lemon trees. On the walls will be screens showing Italian films, such as Fellini's La Strada, from the 50s. You will find a number of Italian meals on the menu, for example, Vitello tonnato (roast veal, capers and tuna mayonnaise), asparagus risotto with parmesan, lemon and rocket salad, as well as vanilla panna cotta with strawberries, limoncello and mint for dessert. There will also be finger foods on offer, such as olives, seafood and caponata (Italian ratatouille). The bar will offer Italian wines, beers and cocktails. 'Little Italy' opens in early May and will remain open until September. It will be open every day, except Sundays, between 16:00 and 22:00.
