New Air France lounges planned for Paris CDG

During the inauguration of Air France's new European products, it was also revealed that new lounges are on their way at Paris Charles de Gaulle - in Terminal 2F and Terminal 2G, both of which are used for flights within Europe. In Terminal 2G, a completely new lounge will open, located near the gate area. It will be a somewhat simple lounge offering plenty of seating. The lounge is expected to open in late 2016. Terminal 2G is today used for Air France flights to Scandinavia and a number of smaller European destinations. A brand new lounge is also planned for terminal 2F, the terminal used for most European flights within the Schengen area. The lounge will be 2500 square metres and will also offer a French-inspired outdoor terrace. To achieve this, an agreement will have to be met with the airport's owner, Aéroports de Paris (ADP), over building a brand new building designed for the new lounge, probably located in the central area between the two piers. Meanwhile, an overhaul of food and drink is planned for the lounges in Paris. There are no images available of the planned lounges, but the latest lounge in Terminal 2E and the new lounge at JFK give a hint of how the new lounges's interior may look.
