Starting in December, National Express will launch a 24-hour, straight-to-the-terminal bus service between Gatwick Airport and Kent.
The dedicated service will serve both Gatwick’s terminals (North and South) from locations throughout Kent eight times a day, with journey taking as little as an hour. Tickets are bookable now. Pick up and drop off points will include Canterbury, Chatham, Gillingham, Maidstone, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Kent is an important local community for Gatwick with a significant number of passengers and Gatwick employees travelling between Kent and the airport each day. Over 5% of Gatwick’s annual passengers are from Kent, more than any other area outside London. The move is the latest addition to a number of routes already being operated by National Express to Gatwick – the coach company already serves the airport from London, South Wales, the South Coast, the Midlands and East Anglia.
Tom Stables, National Express Managing Director
, said: “Our new services to Gatwick offer for the first time a direct link from the airport to Kent by public transport and underline our position as the UK’s number one provider of straight-to-the-airport travel.” Online fares start at £5 one-way and the cheapest available fares can be found using a dedicated Low Fare Finder. £5 fares are not available on all departure times and there is a limited number of £5 seats on certain departures.
