Luxury Novotel hotel opens in London’s Docklands

A short walk from Canary Wharf underground station, the 39-storey hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the area, standing at 127-metres and boasting stunning 360-degree views of the capital. It may also be home to highest beehive around, but more on that later. Novotel Canary Wharf has 313 rooms, including 26 individually-designed suites, and offers nine meeting rooms. The hotel also has a modern gym, pool, and sauna, as well as free WiFi throughout.

Novotel London Canary Wharf On the top floor of the hotel, you find restaurant BOKAN 37, with its dining area, bar and roof terrace on the 37th, 38th and 39th floors, respectively. These establishments, with their incredible 360-degree views, are destinations in themselves.

Novotel London Canary Wharf Also on the 39th floor are a set of beehives that are used to produce honey for guests. How sweet. One of 33 Novotels in the UK, Novotel Canary Wharf is the first to have its own vegetable garden, in which it grows organic ingredients to be used in the hotel’s kitchens. Eco-friendly food, locally-sourced produce, and short supply chains will be utilised in accordance with AccorHotels’ sustainability program, PLANET21.

Novotel London Canary Wharf Within PLANET21, AccorHotels aims to build 1,000 vegetable farms within its hotels by 2020. Canary Wharf also aims to achieve an "excellent rating" in the world-leading sustainability survey BREEAM, which assesses the sustainability aspect of major building projects and infrastructure.
