The French hotel group Accor has changed both its name and logo in the last few days. It has gone from Accor to Accorhotels. The name change is to increase the influence and visibility of the brand, and the idea is to place Accorhotels at the centre of all of its hotel chains. At the same time, a new slogan was introduced; “Feel Welcome". - Accor will become Accorhotels and resume its role as a pioneer in the hotel industry that never fails to surprise, says Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO of Accorhotels. We are at the forefront of digital technology while maintaining our main focus on hotel management. “Feel welcome” is a strong commitment to all of our customers. In conjunction with these changes, the company introduced a new global bookings portal, AccorHotels.com, which will also represent a number of independent hotels. - The transformation of our distribution platform to a more open market is a major investment for the group and the result of a new strategy for our business model. Accorhotels offers its powerful digital tools for independent hotel owners, thereby increasing the choices available to its customers through an increased number of hotels and destinations. These initiatives and the launch of new Accorhotels are designed to enrich the content of our digital ecosystem and strengthen our position as a pioneer in the industry and in the hospitality industry at large, says Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO Accorhotels.
