On November 17th, an iconic hotel in the centre of Brussels reopened. Located close to the Grand place, the hotel formerly known as ‘Le Méridien’ has now become a Hilton Hotel, and has been named ‘Hilton Brussels Grand Place’. Hilton will manage the hotel on behalf of the current owner, a Swiss real estate company. Extensive renovations will take place during the first year of Hilton's management. The hotel currently has 224 rooms, but once the renovations are complete, it will offer; 116 superior rooms, 72 deluxe rooms, 28 junior suites, 7 suites, and 1 presidential suite. Additionally, there will be a conference centre for up to 200 people, an executive lounge, a restaurant, a bar, and private dining rooms. Hilton already has two hotels in Belgium - ‘Hilton Brussels City’ in Brussels, and ‘Antwerp Hilton Old Town’ in Antwerp. In 2016, they will also open the ‘Hampton by Hilton Brussels Louise’.
