Hilton plans for one of Middle East's largest beach resorts in Qatar

Occupying an impressive 104 hectares, the new resort will become one of the largest in the entire Middle East and the first of its kind in Qatar. The resort, the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, will be next to Salwa Beach, 97 km from the capital Doha, in the southwestern corner of Qatar. At the heart of the resort you will find a hotel that offers 362 rooms and villas, but it does not stop there. In addition to the hotel, the facility will also feature a water park, a luxury marina, a yacht club, a diving centre, a movie theatre, a shopping centre and several restaurants. The hotel will consist of 246 deluxe rooms in the hotel building, with 35 suites. Two of these will be the presidential suites, at over 1000 square feet, flanked by two small villages with family villas. One village has 32 ​​villas, with one or two bedrooms and traditional Arabic architecture and stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. The second village has 84 villas, a little larger, with up to five bedrooms. In the hotel, there will also be a 2,800 square metre spa and health club, outdoor swimming pools, event facilities of over 3,500 square metres, and 13 different restaurants, bars and lounges. The resort is being developed by Hilton Worldwide, together with Al-Rayyan Hospitality. An estimated opening date has yet to be determined.
