Petri Vuori

, Finnair's vice president of global sales, said: “Edinburgh airport is seeing a continuous growth in demand for international flights, recently announcing a 10.2 per cent growth year-on-year to July 2015 and we look forward to welcoming these passengers on board Finnair." Billund is a new year-round destination for Finnair starting April 4, 2016. Billund will also have a timetable which is adapted for convenient connections in Helsinki to and from several Asian destinations. Svalbard, the Norwegian archipelago due north from Tromsø and the world's northernmost commercial airport is a somewhat interesting destination. Currently, only SAS and Norwegian fly to Longyearbyen, which offers opportunities to experience the Northern Lights and the midnight sun. The route will be operated from June 1 - August 27, with three departures per week. Pula in Croatia is the fourth new summer destination and is to be served during the period June 20 - August 12, 2016, with two departures per week. In addition to Pula, several other charter destinations in the Mediterranean are set to become regular destinations. These include Zakynthos, Skiathos, Santorini, Mytilini, Preveza, Rimini, Verona and Varna.
