In early summer, Emirates inaugurated its latest lounge. Emirates now has its own lounge at Tokyo Narita for the first, simultaneously becoming the airline's first lounge in Japan. The Tokyo Lounge is Emirates 38th lounge throughout the world.

The lounge interior is based on Emirates’ fairly well-known design, with furniture in beige and mostly pastel colours. In the 936 square metre lounge, one will find free food and drinks (including champagne), shower room, prayer room and a business centre. There is also free WiFi and the lounge has seating for 174 guests. Access is given to those with Emirates Skywards Gold and Platinum, as well as passengers in business class and first class. The lounge is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 17:20 to 21:20, while the otherdays of the week it is open from 18:00 to 22:00.
