Hilton have launched a new hotel chain, 'Curio - A collection by Hilton', and its first hotel will open in Hamburg during 2015. It is also apparent that a Curio hotel is underway in Istanbul. Both hotels will open in historic buildings over 100 years old.

The hotel in Hamburg will be established in the current Reichshof Hamburg, centrally located in Hamburg, close to Hamburg market and opposite Hamburg Central Station. The building was completed in 1910 with a unique Art Deco façade. In the 20s, the hotel opened a restaurant inspired by Hamburg's maritime history. Reichshof Hamburg is currently undergoing extensive renovations costing over 30 million Euros. The renovations are expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2015. Upon completion, the hotel will have 280 rooms and suites, 11 meeting rooms and an event room of 177 square metres. The name of the new hotel will be, Curio Reichshof Hamburg. The hotel in Istanbul will be in the current Rumeli Han Istanbul, located in the İstiklal Avenue Beyoğlu district, within walking distance to Taksim Square and Galata. The building dates from the 1800s and is a listed building. The building will soon have extensive renovations and is expected to open in 2017 as the Curio Rumeli Han Istanbul. It will have 173 rooms over 7 floors, several dining options, including a rooftop bar and a restaurant with a spectacular view of Istanbul.

Curio - A Collection by Hilton
