British research company, Skytrax, has released its annual awards in a variety of areas in the aviation industry. The prestigious award, ‘this year's Airline’, goes to Cathay Pacific for the fourth time; the company also won the 2003, 2005 and in 2009. There was a total of over 18 million votes. At the top of the leaderboard for the best airline, we find Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Turkish Airlines making the top five. Somewhat surprisingly, Garuda Indonesia managed to place themselves in seventh place. In the category of ‘Best First Class’, Singapore Airlines is top followed by ANA, Etihad Airways, Cathay Pacific and Emirates. In the category of ’Best Business Class’, we find Qatar Airways at the top, followed by Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Oman Air and Turkish Airlines. According to the same survey, Air France has the world's ‘Best First Class Lounge’, followed by Lufthansa, and then Cathay Pacific. Qatar Airways has the ‘Best Business Class Lounge’, ahead of Turkish Airlines and Cathay Pacific. Here you can find all the results:
