Best Western Hotels & Resorts (BWR) has revealed plans to launch its new lifestyle boutique brand, Vib, in Southeast Asia.

BWR has signed an agreement for a new-build Vib hotel in the capital of Laos, Vientiane. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2018. The ‘Vib’ concept offers a modern style with reasonable price, where socialising is combined with the latest technology and a smart ergonomic design, which intends to appeal to the new travel-savvy generation in Southeast Asia, BWR said in a press release.

Rendering of lobby "When we first revealed the Vīb concept to the world earlier this year, it was clear that this unique, contemporary product would work extremely well in Southeast Asia - one of the world's most dynamic regions," said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts' Managing Director of International Operations - Asia. The new Vib hotel will be located in a central location in Vientiane, close to the city’s famous night market, Laos National Museum, Black Stupa and Patuxai Arch. The 70-room hotel will also have a large lobby area, a grab'n'go snack station, and a "Zen Zone" for relaxation. The new Vīb hotel will join the existing Best Western Vientiane Hotel in the heart of the Lao capital.
