Air Canada is to launch a new seasonal service from Glasgow Airport to Toronto Pearson Airport. The three-times weekly service will operate between June 14 and September 25 next year.
The new Glasgow route will be operated by Air Canada rouge, a subsidiary of Air Canada, with a schedule designed to create easy connections with Air Canada’s extensive network across the Americas. Air Canada currently operates a seasonal summer flight service from Edinburgh Airport.

, Air Canada’s director of European sales, said: “These additional flights complement our existing summer service from Edinburgh, offering convenient connections to destinations across North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean through our Toronto hub.” The three times weekly service will operate on Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday and Saturday/Sunday. Flights will depart Toronto at 18.55 and arrive in Glasgow at 06.40 the next day. In the opposite direction, flights will depart Glasgow at 08.25 and arrive in Toronto at 10.50. The route will be served by a 280-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

From its hub, Toronto Pearson Airport, Air Canada rouge will also debut routes to Prague, Budapest and Warsaw. All routes will be served by a 280-seat Boeing 767-300ER. The three-times weekly Toronto-Prague service operate between May 29 and September 29. Toronto-Warsaw will operate three-times weekly between June 16 and September 30. Toronto-Budapest will operate three-times weekly from June 10 until October 15. The carrier’s first destination in Africa will be Casablanca (the economic and business centre of Morocco), departing from Montreal. Services will operate four-times weekly between June 3 and October 17
