Aeromexico is will add an extra flight between Mexico City and Heathrow, increasing its service from five-times weekly to six. The airline is also introducing a new route to Amsterdam.

The Mexican airline will add a sixth-weekly frequency to Heathrow from June 4, 2016, which will run for three months. The new service will depart from Heathrow on Sundays, with the return leaving Mexico City on Saturdays. The route is operated by Aeromexico’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 32 fully-flat business class seats on board. The Skyteam carrier is also launching a new route between Mexico City and Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport from May 29, 2016. It will be Aeromexico’s fourth destination in Europe. Flights to Amsterdam will operate three-times weekly with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft seats 243 passengers, including 32 in business class. Flight AM025 will depart Mexico City on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 23.58, landing in Amsterdam at 18.00. In the opposite direction, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flight AM026 will leave Schiphol at 22.35 and arrive in Mexico at 04.10. Anko van der Werff, Aeromexico's chief revenue officer, said: “Aeromexico is extremely proud to add Amsterdam to its European route network. The Netherlands is Mexico’s fourth largest trading partner in the European Union, and nowadays, an average of 200,000 annual passengers travel between both cities.” One of the key factors in establishing this new route is Amsterdam's status as a major SkyTeam hub - KLM offers a significant number of European flights from Schiphol.
