AccorHotels opens new Grand Mercure property in Qingdao, China

AccorHotels has announced the opening Grand Mercure Qingdao Nanshan Resort - the second Grand Mercure hotel in the Chinese port city of Qingdao, following Grand Mercure Qingdao Airport.

The 5-star resort is located adjacent to Qingdao International Exhibition Centre, the largest exhibition and convention venue in Shandong province, and a short drive away from Qingdao Liuting International Airport.

Guest room The “luxurious business and leisure hotel” has 508 rooms and suites, all-day dining, a Chinese restaurant and a lobby Bar. Recreational facilities include a spa, indoor swimming pool and gym.

Indoor swimming pool For meetings and events, the property has two board rooms, eight meeting rooms and two pillar-less Grand Ballrooms that can cater up to 1,000 guests.

Ballroom The resort also offers guests a private beach, located within walking distance of the hotel. “Grand Mercure Qingdao Nanshan Resort is an excellent addition to the Grand Mercure network in the beautiful coastal and largest city of Shandong province,” said Michel Molliet, Chief Operating Officer, AccorHotels Greater China. “Grand Mercure is an upscale network of hotels and apartments enriched with local traditions and renowned French touches.
