EVA Air to sell Business Class meals to Premium Economy passengers

Premium Economy passengers flying with Taiwanese international airline EVA Air will soon be able to enjoy the same meals as those served in Business Class - for a fee.

From October 1st until December 31st, 2022, the Star Alliance member will offer a complimentary new meal service to Business Class (also known as Premium Laurel) and Royal Laurel passengers. While at the same time, Premium Economy - and Economy - passengers can upgrade their meal order to the same menu for an upfront fee of US$25.75 – though this will be limited to eight special meals in Premium and twelve in Economy.

The new multi-course meals will be presented on tableware by the Singaporean luxury brand Luzerne, with dishes featuring steamed halibut with chopped chilli paste, seasoned shrimp and lime vinaigrette, chayote vines salad with pine nuts and a dessert of water chestnut cake with osmanthus.

A plant-based option with ingredients sourced locally in Taiwan will feature layered plant-based crêpes filled with chopped truffles, a main course of artichoke and plant-based lasagne and a dessert of apricot tart with oriental beauty tea jelly.

The new menu options can be selected between 21 days and 24 hours before the scheduled departure by logging onto the Manage Your Trip section on the EVA website or the airline’s app.
